Explicit Consent
This English version is provided for users outside Türkiye. For users in Türkiye, the Turkish version prevails if the two differ.
This text explains the scope of the explicit consent you give when you tap “I agree” on the AI permission screen of the mayAssistant app. General information about the processing of your personal data, the controller and how to exercise your rights is in the Privacy Policy and the KVKK Information Notice.
1. What you consent to
To the transfer of the data listed below to AI service providers established in the United States, and to its processing there, so that your meetings can be transcribed and summarised, task lists extracted, the emails you connect analysed, and your questions answered by mayAI (Turkish KVKK Art. 5(1) and 9; for users in the EU/EEA, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 49(1)(a)).
2. Data transferred and recipients
| Recipient | Country | Data transferred | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| ElevenLabs | USA | Audio you record or upload, or that the meeting assistant records | Transcribing speech and separating the speakers |
| OpenAI | USA | Transcript text; emails you connect; what you write to mayAI and in meeting preparation; meeting and calendar information read for an answer | Summaries, task lists, email analysis and mayAI answers |
The voices and words of other participants in the recordings are also covered by this transfer; informing them and obtaining any required consent is the responsibility of the user who records (see the Terms of Use).
3. Possible risks
- The United States may not provide a level of data protection equivalent to that in Türkiye or the EU/EEA. For Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Board has not issued an adequacy decision for the United States.
- The data may become accessible to competent US authorities under US law.
- Exercising your rights against a provider in the United States may be harder and take longer than it would at home.
To reduce these risks, data is transferred over encrypted connections, only the data needed for the Service is sent, and the use of data for model training is disabled in our provider settings.
4. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn
You do not have to give consent. If you do not, your account and the features that do not need AI remain available; recording, file upload, the meeting assistant, email analysis and mayAI do not work.
You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app under Settings › Account › AI permission. Withdrawal takes effect for the future: from then on no data is sent to these providers; the lawfulness of earlier processing is not affected. To have data that has already been transferred deleted, you can delete the meeting concerned or write to info@mayassistant.com.
5. Record
The time you gave your consent and the version of the text shown to you are stored in your account and in the audit log; a withdrawal is recorded as well.
